Choice

Moscow and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy was always my biggest dream since I was a little girl. I knew that it was one of the best schools, with amazing teachers and a huge history behind it. Watched a lot of documentaries… the most famous dancers walked in those halls, danced in the studios…! That thought was unbelievable to me and it made me want to go there and pursue my dreams of becoming a ballerina.

Vivid memory

I can’t really choose one specific moment… With a smile on my face I always go back and remember my classes on the second floor! Classical, duet, character, historical dance… I have so many memories and I enjoyed every second in those studios! I also loved all the school subjects. History of art, history of ballet, musical literature… They were always so fun, I learned a lot and I’m so grateful to have that knowledge now!

Can’t forget the school performances on stage and all the graduation concerts… The preparations, nerves, beautiful costumes, a lot of rehearsals, but in my heart I always have the most incredible memories from those times…

The friends I made there, the delicious food from the cafeteria…

I can keep going, but this interview won’t end!

My teachers

I loved all of my teachers! Every single correction, every single word and every single moment was so precious for me! My classical teacher was Irina M. Pyatkina. I’ve learned a lot from her and I’m so grateful to work with such a professional and very importantly, a great person. Anna I. Antropova… she made me love character and I couldn’t wait for my next class with her. She was always so positive, lovely and the most importantly she really enjoyed her job and the atmosphere in class was always great! I can talk forever about every single teacher, because everyone was so special to me… Ilya M. Rizakov was my duet teacher, Maria O. Severtseva – historical dance and so on… I will never forget them, because they helped me become who I am now.

Career

After finishing school, I started working in Perm Ballet Theater as a soloist. Now, I dance all the main roles in my theater. Nikiya, Medora, Gamzatti, Odette/Odile and a lot more… I’m working with outstanding teachers and dancers.

Important thing

That would probably be discipline. Short and clear.

Goals

Talking about goals, I have a lot more to pursue! I have a lot of roles, that I want to dance, but haven’t yet! A lot of big stages, that I want to dance on, people I want to meet… My goal is what keeps me motivated and inspired to keep going.

Wishes

When it gets hard (and it sure will), don’t ever have the thought to give up. Enjoy every bit, because time flies incredibly fast. And make great memories so you can remember them later in life.
