Catarina or La Fille du Bandit — TV Premiere

On November 21, 2024, Russian and foreign students of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy attended a TV premiere of the Catarina or La Fille du Bandit (Catarina or the Daughter of a Bandit) ballet staged at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater. The ballet won the Golden Mask Prize in three nominations in 2023. The TV version was conceived by the Russia-Culture TV Channel.

Before the start of the broadcast, students had a chance to learn about the staging from the choreographer and have a good look at the stage costumes displayed at the lobby of the Oktyabr Cinema Theater in Moscow. They also were very lucky, because Elena Svinko who performed the part of Catarina, was at the Teater and took pictures with them. The majority of students had never seen the ballet before.
