Method of Teaching Historical Dance for Beginner Classes, October 2024

From October 23rd through 27th, was hosted Online Teacher Seminar Method of Teaching Historical Dance for Beginner Classes for international ballet teachers. The seminar was hosted by Academy teacher Maria Isplatovskaya.

Students learn stage behavior through Historical Dance. Training includes 19th-century ballroom dances Historical Dance fosters artistic, social, and expressive abilities. It improves coordination and strengthens muscle groups less involved in other dance forms. Allows mastery of various dance styles from different eras, enriching performance capabilities and skills.

The course also involves interaction with costumes and props, teaching dance students multiple new dances, such as the Waltz, French Quadrille and others, and developing their expressive skills and techniques which will greatly benefit their future development as professional ballet artists.

This Seminar was organized jointly by the partner of the Academy, Arts Education Classic.
