Japanese Embassy Delegation Visits the Bolshoi Ballet Academy

On October 14, 2024, Svetlana Zakharova, the Principal of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, welcomed a delegation from the Embassy of Japan in Russia: Mr. Naoki Hayashi, Counselor, Head of the Culture Section and Ms. Arisa Nakamura, Third Secretary.

During their visit, guests from the Academy visited a 5th year boys' classical dance lesson (teacher – Georgy K. Gusev) and 3rd year girls' classical dance lesson (teachers – Anna A. Antonicheva and Lyudmila V. Ermakova), where they watched the training of students from Japan. They also saw an exhibition dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the Academy's foundation, located at the lobby of the Academy's theater, and the dormitory where foreign students stay.

At present, there are 19 students from Japan at the Academy.
